About the IT & OT  Team: The Evos IT/OT team is responsible for ensuring secure, stable, and efficient IT and OT operations across all terminals. The department consists of several specialized teams covering IT Security, Business Applications, End User Services, IT Infrastructure, and Operational Technology. These teams work closely together with experienced colleagues and service partners. Data security and governance are embedded in both daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role: As a TMS Developer, you are responsible for the development, customization, integration, and support of Evos' Terminal Management System (TMS). The TMS plays a critical role in supporting terminal operations, including storage, logistics, inventory management, order processing, and invoicing.

In this role, you will focus on PHP-based development while working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and external vendors to deliver stable, scalable, and secure solutions. You will contribute to both daily operational support and the continuous improvement of the application landscape.

You will also participate in IT projects aimed at implementing new systems and delivering enhancements as part of the IT Business Systems continuous improvement program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain PHP-based TMS functionalities and applications

  • Implement system enhancements and new business requirements

  • Customize and optimize TMS modules, including inventory, orders, and invoicing

  • Perform code reviews and contribute to application modernization and refactoring initiatives

  • Build and maintain integrations with ERP systems, OT environments, and external partners using APIs and interfaces

  • Ensure reliable and accurate data exchange between connected systems

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration and application issues

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the TMS environment

  • Perform root cause analyses and implement preventive improvements

  • Execute system maintenance, patches, and controlled application changes

  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and support critical business incidents when required

  • Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure operational continuity across terminals

  • Contribute to standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within the IT organization

Work Location

This role is based in the Netherlands. Regular collaboration with international terminals and business stakeholders is part of the role.

About you: 

Experience & Knowledge

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

  • Between 1 - 5 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in PHP

  • Experience with business application development and support in operational environments

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, API development, and system integrations

  • Experience with ERP, OT, and external system interfaces

  • Familiarity with version control, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting production systems

  • Experience with TMS solutions, industrial interfaces (SCADA, MES, DCS), Azure, Linux, ITIL, or ISO 27001 is a plus

  • Experience working within a 24/7 industrial or operational environment is preferred
