About the Procurement Team: The Procurement Team at EVOS is dedicated to ensuring seamless operations at all terminals by consistently securing top-tier products and services at the most favourable prices. Our focus is on sustaining business continuity through a strategic approach to total cost ownership.

About the role: As Procurement Team Lead, you will manage procurement activities across the Amsterdam terminal while leading and developing a small local procurement team. This role combines strategic sourcing, contract management, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership within an industrial environment. You will be responsible for procurement activities ranging from operational requirements and maintenance services to CAPEX projects and infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop the local procurement team.

• Set priorities and support the team in daily procurement activities.

• Develop sourcing strategies and lead tender processes.

• Conduct contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships.

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HSSEQ, Finance, and Group Procurement.

• Align procurement priorities with operational and project requirements.

• Improve cost efficiency, quality, supplier performance, and overall value.

• Manage contractual and supply chain risks while ensuring compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and reporting, leveraging data insights and digital solutions to enhance decision-making and efficiency.

• Support CAPEX projects, including equipment replacement, infrastructure upgrades, and automation initiatives.

About you: 

You are an entrepreneurial procurement professional who takes ownership and delivers results. You balance strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and thrive in a dynamic industrial environment. You enjoy working closely with the business, actively participating in sourcing and negotiations, and supporting the growth of your team. You are confident in challenging requirements constructively while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Experience & Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

• Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience.

• Experience within industrial, engineering, infrastructure, or comparable technical environments preferred.

• Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.

• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into sourcing strategies and contractual solutions.

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
