About Evos Rotterdam: Evos Rotterdam has a strategic location in the largest port in Europe with direct access to sea, highway and rail.

We are specialists in the storage of methanol and bio-ethanol and have more than 40 years of experience in producing formaldehyde and do so with a team of about 55 employees.

About the procurement team: The Procurement team at EVOS is dedicated to ensuring seamless operations at all terminals by consistently securing top-tier products and services at the most favorable prices. Our focus is on sustaining business continuity through a strategic approach to total cost ownership.

The procurement team consists of nine experienced and entrepreneurial colleagues, who are together responsible for managing the relations with our suppliers and driving procurement excellence in our terminals as well as contributing to Evos Group. The procurement team reports to the Head of Procurement, who is based in the Netherlands.

About the role: The Procurement and Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process and managing contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

This role ensures that all procurement activities are carried out in a cost-effective, efficient, and legally compliant manner. The manager will also develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to meet the organization's strategic objectives.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations, ensuring that all contract obligations are met.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations. Monitor and report on procurement risks, implementing corrective actions as needed. Evaluate sustainability compliance and implement improvement plants to achieve sustainability goals.

  • Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce procurement costs. Contribute with saving targets. Conduct cost-benefit analysis to ensure value for money in all procurement activities.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Act as a point of contact for procurement-related inquiries and issues.

About you: To qualify for this role we expect that you match the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, engineer or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
