About the IT & OT  Team: The Evos IT/OT team is responsible for ensuring secure, stable, and efficient IT and OT operations across all terminals. The department consists of several specialized teams covering IT Security, Business Applications, End User Services, IT Infrastructure, and Operational Technology. These teams work closely together with experienced colleagues and service partners. Data security and governance are embedded in both daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role: Evos has established the role of Junior Data Analyst to support the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions within the Evos Data Platform.

In this role, you will contribute to the day-to-day operation of data and reporting processes, supporting data pipelines, reporting, and governance activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure data reliability, reporting accuracy, and adherence to governance standards.

Reporting to the Group BI & Data Manager, you will gain exposure to the full data lifecycle in a modern Microsoft data platform environment, including Power BI, SQL Server, and Azure services. This role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your technical skills in data engineering and analytics.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI reports and dashboards

  • Monitor datasets, refresh processes, and data pipelines to ensure reliability and availability

  • Perform data validation, structured testing, and quality checks on reports and datasets

  • Provide first-line support for reporting and data-related questions from business users

  • Identify, log, and escalate data issues to relevant teams

  • Support the documentation of data flows, data sources, and transformations

  • Maintain metadata, including dataset descriptions, ownership, and definitions

  • Support the development and improvement of the data catalogue

  • Assist in managing data access rights and validating role-based access controls

  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards

  • Work with tools such as GitHub and gain exposure to CI/CD and deployment processes

  • Support the adoption and effective use of Power BI and Microsoft data tooling

  • Actively contribute to learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives

This role is based in the Netherlands.

About you: Experience & knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)

  • 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, BI reporting, or data support

  • Working knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, aggregations, filtering)

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (reporting, dashboards, basic data modelling)

  • Understanding of data structures and modelling concepts (tables, relationships, star schema basics)

  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data validation

  • Awareness of data quality management and issue tracking

  • Experience with metadata management or data cataloguing

  • Familiarity with GitHub (version control, collaboration workflows)

  • Basic understanding of CI/CD in data environments

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel (Power Query, formulas)
