About Evos Malta: Evos Malta is strategically located in the central Mediterranean for bunkering and East and West trading routes. We are a fully flexible blending terminal with a full segregated infrastructure facilitating high throughput and intra-terminal trading. We work with around 75 employees in our Malta terminal.
About the HSSE Team: The HSSE team is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. They work closely with all departments within Evos to continuously improve HSE performance and integrate safe practices into daily operations.
With a proactive and hands-on approach, the team fosters awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement through training, audits, and engagement initiatives. Their mission is to protect people, assets, and the environment while supporting the overall business objectives of Evos Malta.
About the role: The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) policies and procedures are kept up to date in line with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
The HSSE Officer will supervise activities across the site to ensure compliance with all HSSE standards. The main tasks of the position are:
Stay informed about the latest company policies, procedures, and relevant legal or regulatory changes, including approved codes of practice.
Participate in relevant HSSE training and be prepared to deliver internal training sessions to colleagues.
Oversee the implementation and compliance of HSSE policies and procedures, acting in a supervisory capacity.
Actively promote and foster a positive HSSE culture throughout the organization.
May be responsible for issuing Permits to Work within the terminal.
Monitor and/or audit the use and compliance of issued Permits to Work.
Conduct routine inspections, installations, and maintenance of HSSE-related equipment and systems.
Support HSSE&Q-led audits or incident investigations, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
Carry out any other related duties as required to support HSSE operations and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
About you: To qualify for this role we expect that you match the following requirements
You hold or you are willing to obtain a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
Demonstrates a working knowledge of Health and Safety management systems
Proficient in English, both written and spoken
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
