About Evos OperationsTeam: The Operations team is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day running of all terminals. The team focuses on operational performance, asset utilization, and continuous improvement, working closely with Maintenance, HSSEQ, Technical, and other group functions.
Within this context, energy management is a key driver for operational efficiency and cost control, while supporting Evos’ ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2045. The Operations team plays an essential role in identifying and implementing improvements to enable more energy-efficient operations across the network.
About the role: Evos has established the role of Group Energy Coordinator to drive and embed a group-wide energy management approach across all terminals.
In this senior role, you will define and implement the energy strategy, with a strong focus on improving energy efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting the Net Zero 2045 ambition. You will ensure that energy management becomes a structured and measurable part of daily operations.
Acting as the central expert, you will work closely with terminal energy champions and group functions to translate strategy into practical initiatives and tangible operational and financial impact.
Positioned within the organization, this role reports to the Group Operations Manager. You will operate across terminals, driving standardization in governance, reporting, and performance management, while identifying and supporting both efficiency improvements and renewable energy opportunities.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain the Group Energy Strategy aligned with Net Zero 2045
Establish energy governance, frameworks, and standardized ways of working across terminals
Design and implement consistent energy reporting, KPIs, and dashboards
Improve data quality, transparency, and compliance with requirements (e.g. EED, ISO, CSRD)
Identify and drive energy efficiency initiatives (e.g. VSDs, insulation, optimization of utilities)
Support business case development and track realization of energy savings
Identify and evaluate renewable energy opportunities (e.g. solar, wind, hydrogen) and support investment cases
Coordinate and support a network of Energy Champions across terminals
Enable terminals with tools, best practices, and structured improvement cycles
Support development and execution of energy-related projects and ensure alignment with Group standards
Monitor performance, track progress, and report to management and steering groups
Act as subject matter expert for energy within the organization and support the Operational Excellence program
Work location
This role is based in the Netherlands, with regular travel and collaboration across international terminals.
About you: Experience & knowledge
Degree in Engineering (Energy, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Economics, or similar
10+ years of experience in energy management, engineering, or industrial operations
Experience with energy efficiency, utilities, or sustainability programs
Experience in multi-site or international environments
Proven track record in project delivery and business case development
Strong understanding of industrial energy systems and processes
Experience with energy data analysis and reporting tools
Experience with renewable energy projects or decarbonization initiatives
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with energy management systems and digital tools (e.g. Power BI)
Competencies
